Is there a doctor in your life who goes above and beyond the call of duty?

In honor of National Doctors Day on  March 30, the North Carolina Medical Society is asking state residents to send nominations for North Carolina Doctor of the Year.

“Many of us have a story about a dedicated physician who made a huge positive impact in their life or one of their loved ones’ or friends’ lives, said Robert Seligson, the society's executive vice president.

If you know a doctor who has "performed miracles or simply been an enduring and caring presence for you – or someone you care about," Seligson asks that you make nominations before Feb. 28 to ncdoctorsday.org. 

The winner will receive a $5,000 grand prize.
